Daddy
ln reading this poem it described a tone of a indivdual who had disturbed background either seeing it abuse done or having done to them. the young girl had a father that would abuse her in a way that she felt that he could have been a nazi of some sort. she is expressing the feelings and dialoging what is going on. seems to me she had a rough childhood and wished fot anything to be taken out of the situation.
Leda and the Swan
when reading this story i had a very difficult time understanding the poem. i had the feeling that some man was taking the young girl who either seemed to be naked in some sort. i couldnt quiet make out what he was doing to her but whatever it was i dont condone it.

Writting Topic
With so many different avenues to take on the few stories that we have read, I think I will concentrate on Harrison Bergeron. The society in which he lives is very interesting and how the people of the time period our so manipulated by the government to act in a certain way. Citizens in the story our degraded by wearing deficiencies or "handicapes" to make society "equal". Im not sure on the direction I want to take yet but this will for sure be the story I write my paper on.
Harrison Bergeron
The society these people were living in, under a gorvernment with rediclous laws, was very absract and unorthadox. Everything that made each individual person unique was considered a handicape and the government made special devices to keep everyone "equal". People in this time period or the "future" knew nothing better but to follow the laws of the land until a rebel, in this case, came and called himself an Emperor and showed everybody that was around him their true potential and that the government was just holding them against their god given talents and characteristics as a person. As soon as he did this, the government came in and killed the him and the individuals that followed him. The fact that most people watching television while the events took place probably forgot the whole thing becuase of the handicapes put in their ears to distarct them or keep them equal in society. If our society ever did something of this magnitude in the future, there would definitely be an outrage of rebellion, just like the LA riots!
The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas
This story is very intriguing on how a society operates on a daily basis. It reminded me alot of the movie called Pleasentville, where everyhting was sort of a Utopian society. The people in Omelas enjoyed a very rich life for the most part but in like every town there are underlining issues that people tend to overlook or ignore. That was definitely the case with how the you child was isolated and treated so horribly. Even though some of the people went to go check on the child, nothing was done. I believe Omelas and the child are a symbol of how our society is today. People see an issue and as long as it doesn't affect their way of life or "happiness", they will do nothing but stand back and watch from afar hoping someone else does something. At the end of the story it talked about how every now and then people would leave Omelas. Again that is a symbol that those are the individuals in society that will no longer tolerate what it going on around them and remove themselves from the city or situation going unhandled.
